How to Get to Mount Shasta

There are several options to get to Mount Shasta. In a nutshell, you can either drive or fly if you are coming from Los Angeles, or you can fly if you are coming from a destination that is further away.

Driving from Los Angeles: If you decide to drive you basically will be taking the 5 North freeway all the way to the top of the state, Google maps will tell you that it takes 9 hours, but allow 10 to 11 hours in order to stop, maybe nap halfway, eat, etc.

Flying: If you choose to fly there are three airports in the region: Medford, Oregon, Redding, California, or Sacramento, California. The easiest as there are more options is to fly to Sacramento. And from there you would have to rent a car and drive for three hours. Redding is only 1 hour away, and Medford is 1.5 hours away. Both Redding and Medford have more limited flights, Sacramento has dozens of flights a day.
